ENGINES-

Honda City will be offered in two engines, a BS6 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that develops 121PS and 145Nm of torque and a BS6 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that develops 100PS and 200Nm of torque. The petrol engine will be having 6-speed MT and CVT transmission whereas the diesel engine will have a 6-speed MT transmission only.

EXTERIOR-

The new Honda City is inspired by the Japanese Katana Blade.It features full LED headlamps, integrated LED DRLs and L-shaped LED turn signals and LED fog lamps. The new Honda City looks quite similar to the Honda Civic due to its large fresh chrome grille. The car is offered with a large 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.


The Hyundai Verna gets a sporty look thanks to the new grille with a honeycomb pattern and the coupe-like rear profile. The headlamps have been redesigned and are now fully LED units. The new car also features new fog lamps which are now freshly placed. The car also gets new alloy wheels and freshly designed rear bumper.

FEATURES-

Both cars are fully loaded and come with a variety of features.

The new Honda City comes with a dual-tone black and beige cabin which gives a rich look to the
interior of the car. The car now comes with an 8-inch infotainment system which supports Apple
CarPlay and Android Auto and Weblink. Instead of analog meter, the car gets a new 7-inch HD TFT MID. The car also gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel with leather upholstery which indeed looks more sportier than the old Honda City’s steering wheel. It also gets a connected car feature with Alexa remote capability. Other features in the car are push start/stop button, ambient lighting, electric sunroof and remote engine start.


The Hyundai Verna facelift comes with minor changes inside and out. It now comes with a new 8-inch infotainment system and a new digital instrument cluster with a 10.67 cm TFT MID. The car also gets the all-new Blue Link connectivity with 45 functionalities.

CABIN SPACE AND COMFORT-


The new Honda City is miles ahead in terms of rear passenger’s comfort as compared to the Hyundai Verna as the City offers an ample amount of legroom the rear passengers and has a better recline angle of the seats at the rear.Whereas front seats of both the cars are comfortable but Ventilated Front Seats In The Hyundai Verna Are A Big Bonus For Both The Driver And The Co-Driver.

Hyundai Verna 2020 Has An Arai Claimed Mileage Of 17.7Kmpl For The 1.5 L Petrol Engine And 25Kmpl For The 1.5 L Diesel Engine.The 1 L Turbo Engine Gives Mileage Of 19.2Kmpl.

Honda City 2020 Has A Mileage Of 17.8Kmpl For The Mt I-Vtec Engine And 18.4 Cvt I-Vtec Engine
Whereas The I-Dtec Engine Has A Mileage Of 24.1Kmpl.

Honda City - starting price of ₹10.89 lakh and goes up to ₹14.64 lakh (ex-showroom prices, Delhi).
Hyundai Verna-priced from Rs 9.30 lakh to Rs 15.09 lakh.

FINAL VERDICT-

If you are looking for a sporty looking car with a powerful Diesel engine then go for the Hyundai Verna 2020.
But if you want an executive sedan with a spacious cabin and a powerful petrol engine then don’t look anywhere else and go for the All-New Honda City.
